Newman Men's Soccer Signs Winfield Standout
Wichita, Kan.-
The Newman University men's soccer program has signed Winfield standout Evan
Myers to a letter of intent to play soccer for the Jets.
Myers was a four-year varsity player and was chosen as team captain for Winfield
in 2001 on his way to earning team most valuable player honors. He scored eight
goals and had four assists, playing mainly on defense.
His play during the 2001 season earned Myers recognition on both all-region
and all-state first teams.
