Newman Men's Soccer Signs Rose Hill All-State Defender
Wichita, Kan.- The Newman University men's soccer program has signed Rose Hill defender Matt Rivers to a letter of intent to play soccer in the fall of 2002.
Rivers started for the Rockets during all four years of his high school career, earning first team All-League, All-Region and All-State honors during his senior season.
He pitched in on offense from his defender position, contributing five goals and five assists during his career.
Rivers served as a team captain in 2001.
