Newman University Men's Soccer Climbs to #12 In National Rankings

Wichita, Kan.- The Newman University Jets men's soccer team has climbed from #24 to #12 in the NAIA national men's soccer rankings released September 10.

The climb in the poll comes after a week in which the Jets soundly defeated Central Christian College, McPherson, 5-0 and upset then-#7 ranked Oklahoma Christian University, Oklahoma City, 1-0. Oklahoma Christian is now unranked.

Newman is 3-1 on the year. The only loss was a 1-0 road defeat to then-#12 Berry College, Mt. Berry, Ga. Berry College is now ranked #21.

The next game for Newman is Saturday, September 14. The Jets will host Doane College at Wilkins Field on the Newman campus. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
