Newman University Men's Soccer Earns Spot in NAIA National Top 10

Wichita, Kan.- The Newman University Jets men's soccer team is ranked #10 in the NAIA national men's soccer rankings released today. The Jets were ranked #11 in last week's poll.

The Jets defeated St. Gregory's University, Shawnee, Okla. on the road, and Haskell Indian Nations University, Lawrence, Kan. at home this week. This week also included a scoreless tie at home against Southern Nazarene University, Bethel, Okla.

Newman is 6-1-1 on the year, 2-0 in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Jets have allowed only one goal this season.

The next two games for Newman are MCAC road games. Saturday, September, 28 Newman will be in York, Neb. to take on York College. On Sunday, September 29, Newman will travel to Bellevue, Neb. to play Bellevue University. Kickoff for both games is scheduled for 3 p.m.
