Newman University Men's Soccer To Play Sunday in South Dakota

Wichita, Kan.- The Newman University Jets men's soccer team will travel to Huron, S.D. on Sunday, October 13 to play Huron University. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Newman is 9-2-1 on the year, 3-1 in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Jets are ranked #20 in this week's NAIA national men's soccer poll.

Jets midfielder Martin Hughes will miss the trip, sitting out a one game suspension after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season Tuesday in a win over Manhattan Christian.

The Screaming Eagles of Huron University are 7-4 on the season. They won their first six games of the season and had been ranked in the national top 25. They have lost four of their last five games and fallen out of the poll.

Newman defeated Huron last year in Wichita, 7-0.
