Newman University Men's Soccer Plays Two Weekend Games At Home

Wichita, Kan.- The Newman University Jets men's soccer team will host Southern Nazarene University, Bethel, Okla., on Saturday, September 21. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Wilkins Field on the Newman campus.

Southern Nazarene is 2-3 on the season and will take on Tabor College on Friday, September 20.

Newman is 5-1 this season, 1-0 in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Jets are ranked #11 in the NAIA men's soccer poll and have given up only one goal on the season.

Southern Nazarene and Newman did not play in 2001.

On Sunday, September 22, the Jets will take on Haskell Indian Nations University, Lawrence, Kan., in their second MCAC match of the year. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Wilkins Field on the Newman campus.

Haskell will take on Ottawa University on Saturday, September 21.

This will be the first meeting ever between the teams. Haskell added varsity soccer last season and joined the MCAC this season.
