Newman University Men's Soccer Begins Home Schedule This Weekend

Wichita, Kan.- The Newman University Jets men's soccer team will open the home portion of it's 2002 schedule this Friday, September 6 against Central Christian College, McPherson. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Wilkins Field on the Newman campus.

Central Christian is 2-0 on the season. Newman is 1-1 and ranked #24 in the NAIA men's soccer poll.

This will be the very first Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference game for Central Christian, as they joined the MCAC prior to this season. It is the first conference game of the year for Newman.

On Saturday, September 7, the Jets will host Oklahoma Christian University, Oklahoma City. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Wilkins Field on the Newman campus.

Oklahoma Christian is ranked #7 in the NAIA men's soccer poll, and is 1-0 on the season. They will play at Friends University on Friday night.
