Newman University Men's Soccer Climbs to #17 In NAIA National Poll

Wichita, Kan.- The Newman University Jets men's soccer team moved up to #17 in the NAIA national men's soccer rankings released today. The Jets were ranked #20 in last week's poll.

The Jets defeated Manhattan Christian College, Kan., 2-1 at home in double overtime and topped Huron University, S.D. 2-0 on the road in their two matches this week.

Newman is 10-2-1 on the year, 3-1 and tied for first place in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference.

The Jets remain at the number two spot in the Region IV rankings this week behind MCAC foe Park University, Parkville, Mo. Park climbed to #9 in this week's NAIA poll.

Newman will visit MCAC competitor Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Bartlesville, Okla. this afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
