Newman Men's Soccer #21 In Final NAIA National Soccer Poll

Wichita, Kan.- The Newman University Jets men's soccer team slipped to #21 in the final 2002 NAIA national men's soccer rankings released today. The Jets were ranked #20 in last week's poll.

The Jets closed the regular season with a 2-0 road victory at Benedictine College on Saturday.

Newman is 12-4-2 on the year, finishing 4-2 and in fourth place in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference.

The Jets stay at number two in the Region IV rankings this week behind Park University. The Pirates stayed at #5 in the national NAIA poll.

The Jets will open postseason play in the MCAC Tournament against host Park on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
